Covid-19 Face Masks

What to Expect

Recently, we announced the launch of Fox Hanx face masks in the near future. While we will still be producing handkerchiefs as usual, we will also be devoting time to this project to help fill the need for face masks for our valued customers around the world. We hope you will join us in preparing for what is ahead while staying positive for the future! The masks are being sewn as quick as we can, and here is what you can expect:

  • 3 layers of tightly woven cotton
  • Generous pocket to add your own filter
  • Pre-washed fabric (reduce shrinkage after washes)
  • Medium, large, and children mask sizes
  • Fabric prints in neutral, masculine, feminine, and kid friendly
  • Price break when 3 or more are purchased
  • Funds received providing jobs for our small team of seamstresses

    First Drop of Face Masks

We do not currently have an official launch date, so please sign up for Drop Alerts if you don't want to miss when they go live. The first drop will be limited quantities with only medium masks, but more variety in future drops! This size will fit the average person just right. Due to the limited quantities available, we are capping it to one mask per order. Once we get in the groove, this will change. If you check out with more, you can expect a refund to ensure that at least one mask can go to those in need. Before they launch, we will be sharing additional photos so you get a clear idea of how they will fit and all the other details we are still working out.

    Summary of first drop:

    • Sign up for Drop Alerts to be notified: https://bit.ly/DropAlerts2020
    • Only size medium in first drop
    • One mask per order/person--any more will be refunded after purchase
    • More photos of masks to come

    Cloth Masks: Educate Yourself

Please take the time to educate yourself on how to effectively use a facemask! The following statements are pulled directly from cdc.gov cloth facemask FAQ page (on 4/18/20) to get you started:

“When do you need to wear a cloth face covering?

A cloth face covering should be worn whenever people are in a community setting, especially in situations where you may be near people. These settings include grocery stores and pharmacies. These face coverings are not a substitute for social distancing. Cloth face coverings are especially important to wear in public in areas of widespread COVID-19 illness.

Do I still need to stay at least 6 feet away from people if I’m wearing a cloth face covering?

Yes. Wearing cloth face coverings is an additional public health measure people should take to reduce the spread of COVID-19. CDC still recommends that you stay at least 6 feet away from other people (social distancing), frequent hand cleaning and other everyday preventive actions. A cloth face covering is not intended to protect the wearer, but it may prevent the spread of virus from the wearer to others. This would be especially important if someone is infected but does not have symptoms.

Why is CDC recommending cloth face coverings instead of medical grade facemasks?

Surgical masks and N95 respirators are in short supply and should be reserved for healthcare workers or other medical first responders, as recommended by CDC guidance.”

Continue to educate yourself online at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (www.cdc.gov) and World Health Organization (www.who.int).

    Please Note

If you've read this far, thank you for taking the time! Your interest in our small business is appreciated.

We understand that there is a need here and I know we are not alone in stepping up to help fill it. With that being said, our business is not in a position to make masks available at cost like many individuals sewing masks. The funds received for what we produce goes towards providing jobs for our small team of seamstresses. Fox Hanx is blessed to be in a position to continue to provide work during these difficult times, and our prices must reflect that.

Once again, we hope you will join us in preparing for what is ahead while staying positive for the future!
